Week 3 blog, My philosiphy

The purpose of health education is to keep everyone knowledgeable on how they should treat their body in the purpose of living longer and better. There are certain things that we can control to help our health be better. Part of health education is to reach an understanding in keeping our bodies fit in the areas that include physical, mental, and social health and sometimes health of the environment around us. I believe that everyone has the right to receive the same treatment with or without insurance or judgment from the doctor. I hope that one day there will be a world where the United States will have free health care to the public.

Public health is very important to me and I want it to be an important part of others lives. I want my information that I learn to be passed on so others can use it as a tool in their everyday lives. That is why I choose to pursue the career of public health. There are ways to some what prevent disease and control our own health. How much education one has, has a big impact on how we treat our bodies and receive the information on health. I would also like to see a change in how doctors treat their patients.

I could not agree more with you. A healthy life is a right not a privilege. How can we deny a person the right to a healthy life? Who determines one individuals life as more important than another?

Public health is the voice for all those who do not have one. We are in this field to work for a world that treats and provides all people the same. Like you mentioned in your blog it is about doctors treating their patents appropriately and so much more.

Great job!

I agree with everything that you had to say. I think that we do need a universal health care system in the United States. People have to worry about many things in life and being able to know that they are safe against injury and disease should not be one of them. I do think that you have a include emotional health as well, however, when you are talking about being healthy. You can be the most fit person in the world, but if you are not happy than non of it really matters. Your view of education and the passing of knowledge is great. I want to pass on my knowledge as well. If we can fix some of the problems in our countries health now. than our children will not have to deal with the same problems.

I really think you hit the nail on the head here. I think that a lot of times when people get sick, its when a part of their health (physical, mental, social, environmental) is "thrown out of whack". a good example of this would be my exercise habits. I was working out all of the time during the summer, and now that my environment has changed (school starting), I feel as though my physical health had deteriorated a little bit. This is just one small example that I think has a lot to do with health education and its components.
I also totally agree with why this is important to you. It it a privilege to have been educated to the extent that we have, and I strongly believe it is almost a duty for us to pass that information on to help others in need.
